Center the family rather than a color
Gender-neutral wording does not need to explain itself. Celebrate the parent or parents and baby directly, then let the artwork carry a sage, cream, terracotta, woodland or seasonal direction.
Choose inclusive names and terms
Use the language the family prefers, whether that is mother-to-be, parents-to-be, the honoree’s name or both parents’ names. Avoid assumptions that are not part of the event.
